The Bishops pupil had been hospitalised for approximately two days following the assault.
Tony Reeler, the principal of the school, confirmed that a disciplinary enquiry into the assault has been concluded.
Since the incident, seven learners have been charged with breaching the school’s code of conduct, confirmed Reeler.
The attack was allegedly orchestrated by two matric pupils who instructed a group of five boys to take action, reports News24.
As it stands, the victim is said to be making a full recovery since his discharge from the hospital.
Reeler further stated that that the independent advocate chairing the disciplinary process has called for the strongest possible sanctions against those held to be guilty.
‘Physical and emotional abuse has no place in our school, our boarding houses, or in society in general,’ commented the school in a statement.
The school will further introduce additional security measures within residences.
