Shakeena Karriem, a 25-year-old woman from Bonteheuwel has been shot and killed.
According Police spokesperson, Noloyiso Rwexana, she was sitting in a car in Bracken Street in the early hours of the morning when she sustained the gunshot wound to her head.
When the police arrived at the scene she had already been transported to a medical facility but died upon arrival. So far no arrests have been made.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated. Police detectives are following up on leads in order to bring the perpetrators of this to book,”Rwexana told SABC.
