Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has publicly revealed that he does not intend to repair his relationship with his famous parents, Sir David and Victoria Beckham, in a series of candid posts on Instagram, Cape {town} Etc reports.
The 26-year-old son, who is married to American actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, accused his parents of attempting to undermine his marriage and attacking the couple through media channels.
In his posts, Brooklyn said he had remained quiet for years, trying to protect family privacy, but felt compelled to speak after repeated public misrepresentations. ‘I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,’ he wrote.
Much of Brooklyn’s statement centred on his wife, alleging that Victoria Beckham had sabotaged aspects of their wedding. He claimed the designer mother had canceled Nicola’s dress at the last moment, forcing the bride to find an alternative urgently. Brooklyn also said his mother had interfered in their first dance, inserting herself onto the stage in front of guests.
He accused both parents of repeatedly attempting to pressure him into signing away rights to his own name prior to the wedding, which he refused to do. The fallout, he said, affected their relationship and financial arrangements, leaving him ‘treated differently’ ever since.
Brooklyn addressed another long-running source of tension: their absence from Sir David’s 50th birthday celebration. He explained that he and Nicola had traveled to London to spend time with his father privately, only to be rebuffed unless it was during the large public party. When the couple finally met Sir David, he said it was on the condition that Nicola could not be present, which he described as humiliating.

The eldest Beckham son also alleged that his parents invited women from his past into family gatherings to deliberately make him and his wife uncomfortable. ‘Family ‘love’ is decided by how much you post on social media,’ Brooklyn wrote, claiming that brand priorities often take precedence over personal relationships in the Beckham household.
He described years of anxiety while living under parental control and said he has found peace since distancing himself. He also accused his younger brothers of being used in social media conflicts orchestrated by the parents, although he later noted that some of them have since blocked him.
Sir David Beckham, currently in Davos for the World Economic Forum, has not responded directly to his son’s posts. Speaking generally about social media and parenting, he emphasised that children are allowed to make mistakes and that he has sought to educate his own children about responsible online behaviour.
Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows in 2025, focusing on creating positive memories free from tension or embarrassment, according to the posts.
The Beckham family includes Brooklyn’s siblings Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper Seven, 14. The rift, first hinted at in media speculation, now has the eldest son speaking openly about his grievances for the first time.
