Update:
Following the blaze that engulfed popular nightclub Coco on Loop Street on Friday morning, a neighbouring butter-loving eatery has announced that it will temporarily close its doors.
‘Loop Street will be closed for a while! We’ve got a lot to do to fix what was damaged,’ wrote Butter in an Instagram post.
The announcement comes as the Loop Street eatery reportedly suffered serious damage from the same blaze that rendered the building at the intersection of Loop and Hout Street unsafe and subsequently closed the doors of Coco until further notice.
‘Thank you to everyone for the love and support! We will be back in action soon,’ continued Coco
Thankfully for Butter fans, however, the eatery added that its younger Sea Point sibling remains open and ready to satiate any butter cravings their Loop Street visitors may have until its reopening.
