Saint Basil once said: “A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.”
This is what Cape Town-based entrepreneur, Coffee L Mqukuse, proved when he picked up a stranger’s wallet outside of Charly’s Bakery in the CBD last week.
Being a millennial, the man used social media to track down the owner and he was immediately connected with the owner of the wallet which had driver’s license, cards and cash.
Mqukuse is the owner of a company which makes hand-stitched garments, MIHA Garments.
He shared that the woman gave him R300 for finding her wallet and promised to buy his products for her family. She also used her own social media presence to promote the man’s business.
