Three Cape Town entrepreneurs have clinched a spot in the Invest Cape Town Youth in Tech Promotional Partnership.

This initiative, aimed at promoting and spotlighting young tech talent in the city, will provide Lesego Finger, Mandisa Makubalo and Lunga Momoza with exposure to the opportunities needed to grow in the technology industry.
The announcement was made during the Invest Cape Town Youth in Tech Showcase on 6 June. The event is hosted in partnership with the City of Cape Town’s Economic Development and Investment Department and non-profit UVU Africa, during which the innovations of young entrepreneurs are showcased.

Finger, Makubalo and Momoza’s innovations will be showcased across Invest Cape Town platforms and events supported by the City’s Economic Growth Directorate, IT Web reports. In addition, they have been signed up for a six-month partnership with Invest Cape Town, from 1 July to 31 December.

- Lesego Finger is the chief technology officer and co-founder of Matric Live, a multifunctional education app that makes learning contextual and visual. The free app supports more than 16 subjects.
- Mandisa Makubalo is the founder and CEO of The Unlimited Experiences SA Group Consulting Firm, which empowers small, medium, and large enterprises with strategic growth frameworks. The firm also championed township-based entrepreneurs via initiatives like The South African Black Women Think Tank.
- Lunga Momoza is the entrepreneurial force of Basket E-commerce, an online platform that connects farmers with local communities. Momoza won UVU Africa’s Township Tech category as his initiative created job opportunities for more than 15 young individuals.
