The iconic Grand Parade and Adderley Street will transform into a vibrant spectacle, filled with laughter and joy as Capetonians come together to herald the festive season.
Headlining the 2025 festivities is the acclaimed DJ Zinhle, a powerhouse in the South African music scene known for her infectious house and Amapiano beats.
In her own words, she describes the event as an exhilarating celebration and expresses her eagerness to join in the fun alongside fellow artists. ‘We have a lineup of musicians that has something for everyone, together with dancers, minstrels, dance competitions and much more,’ she said.
Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis also shared his excitement, saying, ‘This event really is where Capetonians come together from right across the city and turn the Grand Parade and Adderley Street into one big celebration of lights, music, friendship and everything that makes Cape Town the best city in the world.’

Music lovers can look forward to an impressive line-up that showcases local talent, including GoodLuck, Kurt Darren, Tarryn Lamb, Karabo Mogane, Early B & Justin Vega, and the crowd-favourite DJ Masoodah.
With hosts Joe Barber and Carl Wastie at the helm, ensuring that the energy levels remain high, attendees can also expect entertaining performances from the SVNS dancers, the D6 Hanover Minstrel Group, and winners of the Dance Challenge and TikTok Family Dance competitions.
Another highlight of the evening will be the mayor’s official festive jersey stage appearance, an endearing Cape Town tradition. This year, a community-designed garment promises to capture the festive spirit in style.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to embrace the joyous occasion by donning their brightest festive outfits, from glittering sequins to cheerful Santa hats, adding an extra sparkle to the celebration.
