Several events will take place in Cape Town this weekend, resulting in a number of road closures in the CBD and surrounding areas.
According to the City of Cape Town, Bree Street between Buiten Street and Orphan Street will be closed to traffic from 6 pm on Friday, 25 February until 2 am the next morning for the Station on Bree Buddy’s Night event.
On Saturday, 26 February, Long Street between Wale and Orange streets will be closed for the Long Street Food Truck & Craft Beer Market from 1 pm until 4 am.
The City said the festival of music, art, cuisine and artisan produce is aimed at assisting businesses in Long Street and traders from across the metro, whose livelihood has been affected by the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Green Point will also be a hive of activity on Saturday when the Cape Town Pride parade takes to the streets from De Waterkant to the Green Point A-Track. Approximately 2 000 attendees are expected at the event.
Attendees will start the procession at the intersection of Alfred and Prestwich streets in De Waterkant, before turning into Chiappini Street and then Somerset Road.
Motorists are also advised of rolling road closures between 12 pm and 2 pm along Somerset Road as the crowd makes its way to the A-Track.
