Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents in Cape Town’s metro area that left five people dead last night.
In the first case, three men were gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Westridge, Mitchells Plain.
Law enforcement suspects the incident may be linked to gang activity, as reported by eNCA.
A second tragedy unfolded in Mfuleni, where two foreign nationals were shot inside a shop. Early indications suggest extortion could have been the motive.
Both cases are under active investigation, as police have yet to confirm arrests.
