Parents who applied during the on-time admissions period (11 March to 12 April 2024) can now view the outcome of their school applications online.

According to the Western Cape Government (WCG), schools have been applying their admission policies over the past few weeks to determine successful applications based on their availability for 2025.
Parents can check their outcomes on the Western Cape Education Department’s (WCED) website.
Parents who received an offer of a place for their children must confirm their choice of school by 14 June 2024. Thereafter, the high-ranked choice of school will be confirmed automatically.

The WCG appeals to parents to confirm their spots as soon as possible to ensure that everyone gets placed, especially in instances where a learner received offers from multiple schools.
Once the choice of school is confirmed, parents must deliver their hard-copy documents to the school.
If your child did not receive an offer, be patient, as many learners are ‘double parked’. Once these learners have chosen a school, more than 30 000 spaces will become available to other learners.
It is advised to stay in touch with the schools applied to and request that the learner be placed on a waiting list.
Over the next few months, many things could change as schools finalise their admissions lists. The department will step in to assist should your child still not be placed later this year.
Although the online admissions system is now closed for Grades 1 and 8, parents can still apply for 2025 by either applying at an Education District office or at a school. While schools are able to capture applications, this does not confirm acceptance.
