Accompanying the announcement, Brown shared a video featuring both the South African and Brazilian flags, confirming his plans to perform in these locations. The musician recently wrapped up his 11:11 tour, which included performances across the United States and Europe. At one of his final shows, he hinted to attendees, ‘See you next year,’ suggesting that 2025 will be a significant year for him as he celebrates the 20th anniversary of his debut album.
Chris Brown has a rich history with South Africa, famously appearing in a scene from the popular series Generations. His last live performance in the country was in 2015 at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg. Over the years, he has collaborated with various local and African artists, further solidifying his connection to the region.
Last year, South African singer Tyla supported him on his UK and European tour, showcasing the blend of talent across continents.
Additionally, Brown’s latest album, 11:11, features a track titled ‘Shooter,’ featuring KwaZulu-Natal native Naledi Aphiwe.
