The City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate will be doing planned work in selected areas and as a result, water supply disruptions will occur.
The water supply maintenance will take place from the 25 to 26 September.

The City urges residents in the listed areas to be cautious of the impending maintenance and to prepare as needed.
On Thursday, 26 September 2024, from 9am until 5pm, the areas of Vredekloof, Welgelee, Arauna, Morgenster, St Kilda, Marlborough Park, Brackenfell Industrial and Okavango Park in Brackenfell and Brackenfell South, will be subject to zero-pressure tests and conditional assessments.
Residents in the areas listed above may experience low water pressure or have no running water within this time period.
Those residing in the affected areas are urged to store water in clean and sealed containers, well in advance.
In addition, the water supply in the areas from Gunners Circle to Epping industria, will be shut off from 9am to 7pm on Wednesday 25 September 2024. Water will be shut off to aid in the management of future water supply shut-offs in the area.
On Thursday, 26 September, from 10am until 2pm, the water supply in Century City and part of Milnerton will affected by test shut-offs conducted by the Water and Sanitation Directorate.
Lastly, Koeberg Power Station, 13th to 22nd Avenue Melkbosstrand, Ou Skip Caravan Park and Melkbosstrand Village will be subject to shut-offs of the 600mm diameter water main in Otto Du Plessis Drive from 8am until 8pm on Thursday, 26 September 2024. The shut-off will take place to allow for a maintenance team to repair a sever leak in the pipeline. The area may experience low water pressure during this period while residents of Melkbosstrand Village will have no running water. Water tankers will be made available to provide water where required. Affected residents are urged to take necessary precaution.
