ParkscapeSA has warned Cape Town’s nature-lovers to beware of hiking alone at lower Tokai Forest, after a young couple was robbed at gunpoint on Monday, November 30.
The incident unfolded at 2.40pm at Labrador Pool, which is a large waterhole flanked by two oak trees.
“The young couple is unharmed,” Parkscape said. “We are appealing to them to please report the matter to SAPS or SANParks.”

The perpetrators reportedly fled towards the American School, and authorities have launched a search to find them.
“We urge you to PLEASE be careful, to not walk alone and to avoid recreating at off-peak hours (peak hours in summer are between 7am – 10am and 4pm- 6.30pm),” they said.
