As of April 24 South Africa has confirmed 267 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s total to 4220 with 152 390 tests being conducted.

The Western Cape has the most number of confirmed cases with 1413, Gauteng is close behind at 1281 cases.

Four new deaths have been confirmed. This brings the total to 79. Two new deaths were confirmed in the Western Cape and another two in KwaZulu-Natal.

The provincial breakdown is as follows:

Eastern Cape: 480

Free State: 111

Gauteng: 1281

KwaZulu-Natal: 841

Limpopo: 29

Mpumalanga: 24

North West: 25

Northern Cape: 16

Western Cape: 1413
