It is important for us to move in quickly to cover/protect her eyes and administer a partial reversal drug that makes her breathing better. But then, she unexpectedly turned around and charged our ground crew as we approached her! Wildlife medicine has many challenges, sometimes not all of the patients respond the same way to certain medications that are administered. We are happy to report this rhino is fine, and shortly afterwards fell asleep for her treatment.
