Delft police are currently investigating a murder after the burned body of a 12-year-old boy was discovered yesterday, 2 October, on a field in Renoster Street, Leiden in Delft, Cape {town} Etc reports.

According to reports, SAPS members received a complaint from Radio Control about the discovery of the body on an open field.
On their arrival, they found that the body was mutilated and burned, according to Captain F.C. van Wyk, police spokesperson, in written correspondence with Cape {town} Etc.
‘Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation. The motive for this murder is now the subject of an investigation by the South African Police Service. No arrest has been made as suspect/s are unknown at this stage,’ said Van Wyk.
Van Wyk has urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward, as they can contact Crime Stop at 08600 10111, or via the MySAPS app.
