The Diamond Works located in the MetLife Building on Walter Sisulu Avenue was robbed on Friday 5 July just before 10am.
Four armed individuals entered the high-end jeweller and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of diamonds and jewellery.
A crowd of bystanders saw the criminals in the act, and an eye witness told TimesLIVE, “I saw them when they were running out. They looked at me.”
According to TimesLive, a spokesperson for the MetLife Building stated that “a limited amount of goods was taken.”
Police spokesman FC Van Wyk said, “[The robbers] fled the scene in a white Mercedes Benz C Class vehicle towards N1 outbound. The vehicle has five occupants, with the driver. No injuries were reported during the incident.”
