Cape Town Central police are appealing to the public to help identify an unknown male who was found murdered on Table Mountain last year.

On Saturday, March 17, 2018, the decomposing body of an unknown male was found on Table Mountain. An inquest case was registered for investigation at the Cape Town Central SAPS station, and the unidentified body was transported to the Salt River mortuary.

At the time of discovery, the body was found wearing a pair of blue denim short pants with a black belt, along with a black golf T-shirt and a pair of orange and green takkies.

No form of identification was found on the body at the time of discovery, and the victim’s skull was then reconstructed in an effort to create a computerized three-dimensional picture of his face.

It was then discovered that the victim is a coloured male, who was aged between 17 and 20 years at the time of his death.

Anyone with any information is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer Detective Sergeant Jean Pierre Toua on 061 44 10530 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
