The City of Cape Town has put out an urgent notice about emergency electricity repairs set to happen in loadshedding area 8. This includes areas surrounding Grassy Park, Muizenberg and Fish Hoek.
The emergency repairs are necessary to prevent a potentially bigger outage in area 8 in the future.
Area 8 customers are already scheduled for loadshedding from 2am t0 4:30am on Thursday, 11 May. However due to the emergency work, the power will now go off from 12am to 4:30am.
‘The City regrets any inconvenience and thanks customers for understanding,’ reads the tweet sent out by the City of Cape Town.
