Eskom has announced that loadshedding will begin from 4pm on Tuesday, November 2 until 5am on Wednesday, November 3 due to added constraints after the generation unit at Kusile Power Station tripped.
“A unit each at Matimba and Arnot power stations failed to return to service as it had previously anticipated. These constraints are expected to persist throughout the week, which may require the loadshedding to be extended” the power utility explained.
Eskom says the total breakdowns currently amount to 17 933MW while planned maintenance is 3 451MW of capacity.
Regretfully, Stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented from 16:00 until 05:00 tomorrow as power constraints persist@News24 @Newzroom405 @SABCNews @eNCA @SundayTimesZA @SowetanLIVE pic.twitter.com/h4y5X3fdps
