Eskom released a statement after false information on social media started circulating regarding the potential return of loadshedding on 30 May.

The power utility said that loadshedding has been suspended for a continuous period of 62 days and remains suspended.
The last power alert issued by Eskom was on 24 May, confirming the ongoing suspension of loadshedding.
Despite challenges, such as unplanned outages averaging at 12,500MW, which is lower than anticipated for the winter season, the overall generation availability has been commendable. The energy availability factor (EAF) for four of the power stations exceeds 70%. The year-to-date EAF is gradually improving and currently stands at 60.73%.
