Eskom has good news for South Africans as it plans no load shedding for Christmas.
Stage 3 load shedding will be implemented from Christmas Eve.
The country is currently experiencing stage 4, load shedding.
According to News 24, Eskom COO, Jan Oberholzer, said Eskom’s intention is not to have load shedding on Christmas.
Emergency reserves will be utilised to try and avoid load shedding on Sunday.
“However we will evaluate and monitor the system up to Sunday morning and then, very early on Sunday morning, will make a decision.”
