Lusanda Notununu has been missing from Brown’s Farm in Philippi since Wednesday, May 6, and both her family and police are appealing to the public to help her return home safely.

The 13-year-old was last seen by her father, and was wearing a white top paired with a black skirt.

“Anyone who has seen her is requested to contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable Dlomo, on 082 559 4621 or call Samora Machel police on 021 380 3479,” said South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Noloyiso Rwexana in a statement.

Speaking to IOL, Pink Ladies Organisation spokesperson Dessie Rechner said the missing persons case was initially opened at the Samora Machel police station. Later, however, it was transferred to the Nyanga police station, which is the station closest to where Notununu was last seen.

“We can’t be on the ground due to the lockdown, but we are doing all we can to bring her safely home,” Rechner said.

Anyone with information that might lead to finding the 13-year-old is advised to contact the Pink Ladies on 072 217 7439 and 083 378 4882.
