South Africans have been following the exciting journey of Nonhlanhla Soldaat and Hector Mkansi since they got engaged at a KFC earlier this year.

The couple, who are actually already married but never had the wedding they wanted, is ready to get hitched in style. This time, their ‘royal’ themed wedding in Johannesburg will see some 250 guests arrive.

Since the video of the two in the fast food restaurant went viral, they could barely keep up with all the offers they received from wedding vendors. From cash donations to DJ’s offering to jump in, it’s all been taken care of.

KFC’s Zinhle Modiselle said she thinks the wedding will be as unique as the couple. “If you really look at how the proposal went, it was so authentic. I think this stole everyone’s hearts,” reports EWN.

The couple say they’re overwhelmed by all the love that poured in from all over they country. “We continue to show gratitude, even now we say thank you South Africa for giving us an opportunity to have the wedding of our dreams. Without you, we wouldn’t have been this far Mzansi, we thank you,” they told SABC.

The nation has taken to social media to share their anticipation and excitement about the wedding:

The two will fly out to a much-deserved honeymoon in the US after the wedding, going abroad for the first time.
