A fire has been reported along Hangberg in Hout Bay on Wednesday, November 24. However, according to a Facebook post by the SANParks – Table Mountain National Park, the fire has been contained. The post said crews however remain on scene to monitor the area and ensure that all hot spots are dealt with.

SANParks said at the time, the blaze is believed to have been caused by a fire made by a vagrant and not put out properly. The restaurant at Rhodes Memorial has burned down almost completely.
