Firefighting teams were swiftly mobilised to Lower Tokai this afternoon as a vegetation fire prompted an emergency response from South African National Parks (SANParks), drawing both ground crews and aerial support into action, reports Cape {town}Etc.
The fire, burning within the Table Mountain National Park precinct, triggered an immediate deployment aimed at preventing further spread and protecting surrounding areas.
Fire crews were dispatched to the scene while aircraft were brought in to assist from above, highlighting the seriousness of the situation and the need for a coordinated approach.
While details on the cause of the fire have not yet been released, authorities have indicated that active monitoring is under way.
