The operation also includes four water tankers to assists with suppression efforts.

Crews from NCC Environmental Services and Volunteer Wildfire Services have been dispatched to the area, alongside units from the City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services. The situation is being closely monitored, as authorities work swiftly to control the fire and prevent further damage.
As a precautionary measure, hikers are advised to avoid using the road leading up to the back table and to refrain from parking along the access route. This is crucial to ensure that emergency vehicles can reach the scene without delay.
