A fire that started at an apartment on Kloof Street led to four flats being gutted while a fifth sustained minor damages.
The City’s Fire & Rescue Service received an emergency call at approximately 3.35am to a flat alight in Kloof Street.
Fire crews from Roeland Street, Salt River and Milnerton quickly arrived on the scene in the early hours of this morning, May 4.
The battle against the fire continued for four hours. Four apartments on the fifth floor were highly damaged by the fire while another on the sixth sustained minimal damages.
No injuries were reported and the blaze was extinguished at 7.45am.
