One of the victim’s neighbours forced entry into the home, after being alarmed by the smell of something burning. Upon entering, the neighbour came across the horrendous remnants of the scene. Felicia had been declared dead on the scene by medical staff.
The woman’s husband, who is the primary suspect, is said to have been missing since Friday. Neighbours of the couple have stated that ‘they used to skel a lot’ and that he had once threatened to kill her.
Friends and family of the victim and her family are distraught. They claim that Felicia used to complain about her husband shouting often but abuse was never mentioned.
Captain Nowonga Sukwana, the police spokesperson, has addressed the matter and stated that the Grassy Park Police are set to investigate the murder. As of yet, no suspect has been arrested.
