Police are appealing to the public for any information on two young boys who have been missing since Monday.

Best friends Aviwe Tofile (8) and Siyabonga Jali (9) were reported to have been together when they were last seen at approximately 11am on Monday, June 17.

According to the Pink Ladies, Aviwe was last seen in a pair of red trousers, a cream jersey and black takkies. Jali was last seen wearing a pair of blue jeans, a blue shirt and school shoes.

An eight-year-old from Klawer on the West Coast has been missing since January 25. Little Jeneva Diergal was last seen playing with her cousin in front of her aunt’s house.

Jeneva was last seen in a pink Barbie jersey, short black tights and was not wearing shoes. She is also partially paralysed on the right side of her body.

As reported by IOL Ward councillor Mathilda Bains, Jeneva’s mother feels her daughter has already been forgotten. “It’s just quiet, no one is saying anything; even the searches stopped. As the community we tried our best – conducting foot patrols, hanging posters and holding prayer services. We really didn’t anticipate that she would disappear for so long, because the area is small. She (the mother) is trying to cope but is still struggling and we still have many questions. We don’t understand how a child goes missing and no one saw anything,” Bains said.
