Commuters travelling from the Northern Suburbs into the City Centre will have to contest with extra congestion this morning.
Cape Town FMS announced via their Twitter account that motorists will need to seek alternative routes following a major crash at Plattekloof. All lanes are currently closed and traffic appears to be backed up as far as the Old Oak turnoff.
Authorities are currently on the scene and attempting to clear the wreckage, however, there is no clear indication as to when this will be cleared.
