A fire has broken out in the Rockland’s farm in Simon’s Town and the mountain slopes are currently ablaze in the area. Table Mountain National Parks has dispatched a Heuy Helicopter to suppress the blaze from the air.
The City’s Fire & Rescue Services, NCC Wildfires, Working on Fire and the Volunteer Wildlife Services are all on the scene.
The area that is alight is currently experiencing a a strong South Easter. Six firefighting appliances are on the scene too.
Currently no properties are in danger.
