A young man is fighting for his life in hospital after a hit-and-run incident left him gravely injured in Kraaifontein over the weekend.
According to the Cape Town – Down Memory Lane Facebook group, the son of admin Rudie was struck by a vehicle while on his motorcycle on Sarel Van Deventer Road on Friday evening.
The accident took place 12am and 1am on August 9 and 10, and concerned community members are asking anyone to come forward with any information regarding the incident that could lead to the finding the person or persons responsible for leaving Rudie’s son in such terrible condition.
“He was knocked off his bike and dragged out of the street and left for dead,” the post reads.
His back and pelvis are reportedly broken, and his brain is also swollen from the hard impact. His kidneys are also reportedly failing as a result of the accident.
South African Police Services (SAPS) was contacted for further information on the incident, but Cape Town Etc had not yet received a response at the time of publication.
