The recall targets fourteen Hyundai i30 (FD) and Elantra HD vehicles distributed in South Africa in 2011. This announcement underscores the automotive industry’s ongoing commitment to addressing safety concerns promptly.
The NCC’s warning stems from concerns regarding the operation of the driver’s airbag unit in these specific models.
Hyundai has indicated that the airbag may undergo abnormal operation, which could lead to a failure in the event of a collision, posing a significant risk to drivers and passengers alike.
