The Bellville South house robbery at the Jerome Booysen Glenhaven home has put the alleged underworld figure back in the spotlight after police confirmed a domestic worker was tied up during the break-in, reports Cape {town} Etc.
Booysen has long been linked to the Sexy Boys gang, and SABC News has described him as an alleged underworld crime boss in the ongoing Brian Wainstein murder case.
In a statement sent to Cape {town} Etc, SAPS spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said, ‘Bellville South police registered a house robbery case following an incident on Tuesday, [21 April 2026] at 11:05am at a premises in Glenhaven, Bellville South.’
He added, ‘According to reports the female worker in the house was tied up. No injuries reported. Attackers was unidentified males.’
Van Wyk also said, ‘The home owner was not present at the house at time of the incident.’
The statement said, ‘Investigation continues regarding items that was stolen. No arrest as yet.’
Police have not announced any arrests, and investigators are still working to establish what was taken.
The incident has drawn attention because the address is associated with a name that has remained firmly in Cape Town’s crime headlines for years.
