Bravo Le Roux, born Sinesipho Peter, has died overseas, his family confirmed in a public statement released on 22 January 2026, reports Cape {town} Etc.
The Khayelitsha-raised rapper, known for blending Xhosa rap with Afrikaans and English slang, built a reputation for honest lyrics and a distinctive township sound that connected with young fans across South Africa and beyond.
In their message the family called him a ‘beloved South African artist whose talent, voice, and spirit touched countless lives across the world.’

They described him as a devoted father, son and friend and asked for privacy while they mourn. Funeral arrangements will be shared when ready.
Bravo’s debut album, Igazi, iinyembezi no mbilo, topped charts and passed one million streams within weeks. He collaborated with Sjava, Yanga Chief, Maglera DoeBoy and the late Costa Titch, and performed at major local festivals.
His awards and brand partnerships reflected a career on the rise.
