On Wednesday, February 2 the Animal Welfare Society of SA reported on a couple of daring kitten rescues that saw Nursing Assistant, Jaque Le Roux, reaching for new heights as he scaled his way up a tree to pluck a tiny kitten to safety.
Their Inspectorate Controller, Shannon-Lee Beukes and a couple of her colleagues navigated a pile of dangerous building debris to find a litter of tiny kittens stuck between two buildings.

“We hoped that our social media post which was boosted by Leigh-Ann Londt of Cape Town ETC’s superbly written story would help us to find them loving forever homes and are delighted to report that our wish for them came true literally hours after the stories were uploaded,” says the Animal Welfare Society of SA.
When their new owner came to meet them, she simply couldn’t decide on who to adopt so she decided to take them all! She is well known to the Animal Welfare Society of SA and adores cats so they could not have wished for a better outcome for them.
She has already named them Smokey and Chilli, and decided to stick with the Animal Welfare Society of SA’s choice of Stitch for the adventurous little tabby kitten.
