Police arrested four suspects in connection with an alleged vigilante attack that resulted in the death of a 28-year-old man in Nekkies, Knysna. The incident, which occurred on Friday, 01 August, has sparked an ongoing investigation, with authorities warning against mob justice.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), officers responded to a distress call at approximately 10:50am and discovered the victim’s body with multiple injuries. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Three men and a woman, aged between 25 and 39, were later apprehended after being ‘positively linked’ to the crime.
They remain in police custody and are scheduled to appear in the Knysna Magistrates’ Court on Monday, facing a murder charge.
Police have not ruled out further arrests as the investigation progresses.
