Two people have passed as a result of hypothermia after being trapped in their vehicles on the N3 in KwaZulu-Natal Cape {town} Etc reports.

In a media briefing which took place on Sunday afternoon, the KZN acting Premier Thembeni Madlopha-Mthethwa confirmed that while some individuals remain trapped in their vehicles, many have been rescued.
This follows the drivers having to spend 2 nights trapped in their vehicles after being blocked by the heavy snowfall.
ENCA has confirmed that two people have died from hypothermia, as a result of being trapped in the snow on the N3.
The snowfall has further resulted in travel between the provinces being prohibited.
IOL has indicated that there the hazardous snowfall is expected to come to an end on Monday.
