The man who was shot in the head by a police officer after an altercation at a Muldersdrift guest lodge in November has woken up from his coma, reports News24.
In a video of the incident that went viral on social media, Len Cloete was seen shouting at police and then disarming a police officer before another officer fired a single shot that hit Cloete in the head, as per IOL.
In the video, a police officer could be heard saying: “Now you are playing dangerous,” to which Cloete’s responded “Whose playing dangerous? You f****** coward. Come on.”
Cloete was then rushed to the nearest hospital, where he has been in a coma for over a month.
Speaking to Netwerk24, Cloete’s wife, Chantal, had indicated that he had gone through two operations on his brain and skull, and had remained in an induced coma by doctors.
Currently, Cloete is paralysed and can’t talk, reports News24.
