23-year-old Ndavi Nokeri from Tzaneen has been crowned Miss South Africa 2022 on Saturday night, 13 August at Sun International’s flagship venue, SunBet Arena at Time Square Pretoria.
An evening filled with glitz and glam all around saw the visibly emotional Limpopo-born beauty smile from ear-to-ear as she was presented with the crown and sash at the crowning ceremony during the pageant finale amongst nine other finalists from around the country.

Overwhelmed by the support from across the country and having won the People’s Choice award, fan-favourite Ndavi told Sowetan Live that “as a girl who comes from a village, you can’t disqualify yourself and think that certain things are only for certain people who are of a certain class or background.
So being obedient and having the belief in myself will prove that anything is truly possible,” she added.
As reported by EWN, when asked about what the most important thing to maintain our nation’s unity as a South african during the question and answer session, the BCom Investment Management graduate deemed history as the greatest teacher.
“To know where you are going, you need to know where you come from. Being a nation that comes from a history of a past of racial segregation, we know that when we were divided, we were at our weakest. So as Miss South Africa I would implore us to stand together and embrace every single culture, gender, race and sexuality because in our diversity we are strong.”
