A single ticket matched the winning numbers in Tuesday night’s Powerball draw, securing a life-changing R163 552 190.60 for one player after 21 consecutive rollovers.

According to The Citizen, three players also won in the second division by matching five numbers, each taking home R271 572.10. A further 55 participants who matched four numbers plus the Powerball won R9 276 each, according to the official draw sheet and media reports.
Meanwhile, the Powerball Plus draw produced a separate jackpot winner of R31 018 628.30, creating two new multimillionaires in one night.

Ithuba officials note that tickets remain valid for 365 days from the draw date and that winnings in South Africa are tax-free.
Players who claim less than R250 000 receive their money through the banking app used to play.
While larger claims follow Ithuba’s payout process, which includes access to financial and trauma counselling for substantial winners.
The draw ends one of the longest rollover runs this year and has already sparked nationwide conversation about sudden wealth and responsible windfalls.
