A 27-year-old Tulbagh resident has been arrested after he admitted to killing a community doctor on Monday evening [June 1]. Dr Roelof Botha’s body was discovered by a couple who were driving near his farm.

He was found with multiple stab wounds at 6.45pm on Schalkenbosch Road.

As reported by News24, Aiden Abels admitted to using pair of sheep shears to kill Botha when he appeared in the local magistrate’s court on Thursday, June 4.
