Western Cape Provincial Organised Crime Investigations Unit detectives are appealing to the public to help find a suspect who robbed a film crew of equipment worth an estimated R4-million.

According to the Police’s Captain FC Van Wyk, the incident occurred on Friday, November 13 at about 9.15am.

“A camera studio situated at Glenville Terrace, Gardens, Cape Town was robbed by a group of suspects who pretended to be customers before holding the staff at gunpoint,” said Van Wyk in a statement.

“They took high quality lenses, cameras and other movie-making equipment worth an estimated R4 million and fled the scene in two motor vehicles, a white Toyota Etios and a brown Toyota Corolla. The incident was captured on the CCTV cameras and one of the suspects is recognisable on the attached images.”
