In a significant step towards fulfilling Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie’s pledge, it was announced that Saturday’s Rugby Championship showdown between the Springboks and the All Blacks will be broadcast live on SABC 2, bringing the high-stakes clash into homes across South Africa, Cape {town} Etc reports.

While it was not completely what the sports minister promised — to broadcast all Springbok games on SABC — it was a step in the right direction.
According to IOL, McKenzie added that the decision to have the match also broadcast on SABC was in part to celebrate 30 of democracy

The Springboks face the All Blacks at Ellis Park aiming to keep their perfect Rugby Championship record.
After two strong wins over the Wallabies, Rassie Erasmus’ team is in form, while the All Blacks rebounded from a loss to Argentina with a decisive win at Eden Park.
