Only one of three men involved in the murder of 30-year-old Meghan Cremer appeared in the Athlone Magistrate’s Court today to apply for bail. Shiraaz Jeftha, along with Jeremy Sias and Charles Daniels were arrested shortly after Cremer’s body was found in a Philippi sandmine on August 8, 2019.

While in court, however, he withdrew the application.

The three were also found in possession of Cremer’s car.

Sias and Daniels are not applying for bail, and their case will resume in October.

Previously, the court heard that all three accused had been convicted of crimes in the past and had pending cases against them. Sias is facing a pending case for car theft, and was convicted for assault.

Daniels has a pending theft case, and a drug-related conviction. Jaftha faces another pending murder case and prior drug conviction.
