Commuters who make use Metrorail’s Cape Flats line are in for a rocky start to their Monday morning, as the rail service announced that its limited service has been suspended due to a telecommunication problem.

This problem reportedly affects the power supply for the region, the company said via their social media platforms on Monday, October 3. “Technicians are on sight to identify the faults. Metrorail has advised commuters to make use of alternative transport,” the service said.

The Southern Line has also been affected by the same problem.

Commuters who make use of Metrorail have had to deal wit a myriad of delays of late, as parts of the Northern Line are under construction. This applies particularly to the Bellville Station, as this is a central station that connects different train lines, cause long delays.
