Hout Bay Police have confirmed the murder of a motorist which took place in the Hout Bay area yesterday evening [February 17].

According to a statement by station commander Lt. Col. K Masakala, complaints of shooting were received at approximately 8pm on Monday evening near the CDC cottage in Imizamo Yethu Hout Bay.

“Upon arrival at the scene SAPS officers discovered a 33-year-old male laying on the ground with several gunshot wounds in his body and he was declared dead on the scene,” says Masakala.

Three unknown armed males allegedly opened fire on a victim as he climbed out of his vehicle. Nothing was taken from the victim and the circumstances surrounding the shooting incident are still being investigated.
