A mountain fire near the Donkerhoek horseshoe on Du Toit Kloof Pass has intensified since earlier reports, Cape {town} Etc reports.

The Cape Winelands District Fire Brigade, equipped with large and small tankers, along with Cape Nature response teams are currently on site.
According to the Drakenstein Farm Watch, no additional resources are needed at this time.
Ground teams are currently on the fire line high up, facing challenging conditions that require immense bravery.
The fire, reportedly ignited by worshippers seeking spiritual clarity in Cape Nature areas highlights the ongoing issue of man-made fires in the region which cost the community dearly each year.
