A number of roads are currently closed to traffic following reports of an underground fuel leak at the Astron Energy refinery in Milnerton.
“Due to reports of an underground fuel leak at Astron Energy, we’ve got a number of road closures in that area which includes Koeberg Road and Plattekloof, Tanzanite and Rugby Boulevard at the circle, the N7 Northbound link onto Plattekloof and Plattekloof westbound is closed at the N7. We ask motorists to please take caution in that area,” said the City’s Traffic Services spokesperson, Richard Coleman.
Please take note when driving to Killarney this evening!

Cape Town Fire Services as well as Astron Energy Fire Services are on scene trying to locate the exact location of the leak.
